Helping individuals transform fear into strength, and self-doubt into self-trust.
Legend has a special interest in supporting individuals living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. Her work is grounded in empathy and collaboration, helping clients not only reduce distressing symptoms but also build sustainable tools for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and healing. Whether she’s guiding someone through intrusive thoughts or helping them cope with the weight of depression, Legend brings both structure and softness to the therapeutic relationship.
Clinical Focus
Legend specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and veterans who are struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and mood disorders. She has a particular focus on helping individuals facing overwhelming stress, self-doubt, or shame develop healthier coping strategies and a more compassionate relationship with themselves. Legend’s approach is strengths-based and holistic, supporting clients as they build emotional resilience and move toward the life they want to live.
She is especially passionate about treating OCD and anxiety disorders. Legend is well-versed in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and integrates these methods into individualized treatment plans that meet each client where they are. She supports clients in learning how to identify unhelpful patterns, challenge avoidance, and reframe intrusive thoughts with curiosity and courage. Her background in motivational interviewing and anger management allows her to meet clients at the crossroads of readiness and change. She works to empower individuals as they navigate relational repair, and renewed self-trust.
Therapeutic Approach
Legend’s therapeutic style is collaborative, holistic, and trauma-informed. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices, integrating these tools with a gentle and direct presence. Legend believes healing is not linear, and she honors each client’s pace and process. She views therapy as both a sanctuary and a launchpad—where clients can feel heard, rebuild their inner compass, and take meaningful steps forward.
Background, Education & Experience
Legend earned her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from Salisbury University, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, community engagement, and advocacy. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Maryland.
Outside of therapy, Legend enjoys being in nature, practicing yoga, and reading. She brings these passions into her work, often weaving holistic elements into the therapy space when aligned with a client’s goals and preferences. Whether she’s supporting someone through a period of acute distress or guiding long-term growth, Legend meets each person with curiosity, compassion, and clinical clarity.
