Life can be uncertain and challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. Nina provides compassionate, personalized therapy to help clients feel supported as they navigate life’s difficulties. Whether dealing with anxiety, grief, trauma or major life transitions, Nina’s goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings, gain clarity, and discover the strength to move forward.

Compassionate, Trauma-Informed Care for Adults in Maryland

With a wealth of experience and a deeply empathetic approach, Nina helps individuals in Maryland address their challenges, reconnect with their values, and achieve personal growth. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), she provides trauma‑informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, grief, and major life transitions—offering guidance toward meaningful change and a renewed sense of well‑being.

Clinical Focus

Nina’s clinical focus includes working with clients facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She specializes in supporting individuals as they work through gender identity and expression concerns and self-esteem challenges. With a personalized, client-centered approach, Nina provides the understanding and tools needed to overcome obstacles and lead a more fulfilling life.

She also specializes in helping mothers during the perinatal and postpartum periods. Nina understands the unique challenges and emotional shifts that can occur throughout pregnancy and after childbirth, offering support that empowers them to navigate these transitions with confidence and compassion.

Additionally, Nina has extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients, offering affirming care for individuals exploring or navigating their gender identity and sexual orientation. She is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment where clients can openly discuss their experiences, develop greater self-acceptance, and strengthen their sense of identity.

Therapeutic Approach

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Nina uses a blend of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), to meet each client’s unique needs. By integrating Feminist Therapy, Multicultural Counseling, and Person-Centered Therapy, she ensures that every session is respectful of the client’s values, culture, and identity. This eclectic approach helps uncover insights, develop resilience, and work toward lasting, positive change.

Professional Development

Nina regularly participates in advanced training and workshops to stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices. She is dedicated to her professional growth, ensuring that her clients benefit from the most effective and innovative therapeutic interventions available.

Education and Personal Life

Nina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from Montclair State University and her Master of Science in Clinical Professional Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Outside of her work, Nina enjoys practicing yoga, exploring thrift stores, drinking tea, and curling up with a great book. These moments allow her to recharge and continue bringing her best self to every client session.
